Teddy 4 (3 ½ years to 4 years)
Our Teddy 4 curriculum introduces language, math, science, and social skills in a natural sequence to encourage learning one step at a time. The curriculum is done in a rich classroom environment where children are encouraged and challenged to explore and learn, while making new friends and developing self- confidence.
The academic board changes weekly in order to allow the children to absorb, learn and enjoy an array of activities related to our curriculum. Doing so allows students to progress steadily throughout the year in a more confident and relaxed time frame. Our monthly themes further provide new material and topic discussions to keep the classroom and its learning activities varied, keeping even the most active children on their toes. We focus on communication and language development through listening, speaking, storytelling, mark making and role play activities. When your child learns about math they learn through play with number songs, number games, shape and pattern making, sorting activities and routines. An abundance of group activities are on offer to encourage social, emotional and physical development which is a key part of your child learning.
Our children are also observed daily in order to provide parents with a formalized observation based assessment which allows you to see your child’s progression throughout the year, culminating with a portfolio capturing your child’s work, progress and learning journey in colourful pictures.
